Dr. Jenny Lee, PT, DPT

Education & Experience

Dr. Jenny Lee received her BS/MS Physical Therapy degree at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY in 2000. Soon after graduation, she began working in several outpatient orthopedic practices in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. She has diverse practice experience working in multidisciplinary environments alongside: occupational therapists, certified hand therapists, and chiropractors. She later obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2007.

Her professional philosophy is focused on educating each person about their condition in order to empower him/her to take steps towards returning back to a healthy life while being able to provide guidance, support, and therapeutic treatments to attain each individual’s goals.

Community & Volunteerism
Throughout her 20-year career, Dr. Lee has had the privilege of participating in local community service programs and volunteering in the field of Physical Therapy overseas. In 2009, through Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO), she volunteered in DaNang, Vietnam educating her peers and treating patients.

Two months after Haiti’s devastating earthquake in 2010, she joined Project Medishare in Port au Prince to help rehab patients and train locals the art of Physical Therapy in the only working trauma center as the country started to rebuild. She currently serves as an Ambassador to Project Medishare’s Ambassador’s Program.

In the local D.C. Metropolitan area, she serves on the Board of Directors and holds a position as the Principal of the only Cantonese language school in the region, Cantonese School of Greater Washington (CSGW)

Personal

Dr. Lee enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, trail running, hiking/trekking, camping, gardening and yoga. Her current new adventure is spending time raising her 3 young boys to share these values while exploring our World.
